REQUIREMENTS:

Filing Trademark applications

  1. A power of attorney duly legalized from the Egyptian consulate. To be submitted within 6 months from the date of filing. Download POA form.
  2. A list of goods/services to be protected. Download classes.
  3. A scanned copy of the certificate of Incorporation / Commercial Register of the applicant.
  4. A clear picture of the mark [Word mark/Device].
  5. A certified copy of the priority document [In case it is claimed]. It must be submitted within six months.

NOTE:  If the above documents were not available by the due date, the trademark application will lapse.  You are kindly requested to provide us with the documents at least one month before the due date, in order to enable us to prepare the necessary translations prior to filing at the Egyptian Trademark Office. 

Change of Name/Address Applications:

  1. A Power of attorney duly legalized from the Egyptian consulate. To be submitted at the time of filing the application.
  2. A certified certificate of the change of name or address duly legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate.
Assignment Applications:

  1. A power of attorney from the Assignee, duly legalized from the Egyptian Consulate. To be submitted at the time of filing the application.
  2. A legalized deed of assignment duly signed by both parties and legalized from the Egyptian Consulate.
  3. The commercial register of the assignee or a certified copy of the certificate of incorporation duly legalized from the Egyptian consulate.
  4. Name, address, legal status, nationality, and profession or nature of business of the assignee.

Renewal of Trademark/Service Mark Registrations:

  1. A Power of attorney duly legalized from the Egyptian consulate.
  2. A copy of the registration certificate.
License Applications:

  1. A power of attorney by the licensee and the licensor duly legalized from the Egyptian consulate. To be submitted at the time of filing the application.
  2. A legalized license agreement by the Egyptian Consulate.
  3. The commercial register or a certified copy of the certificate of incorporation duly legalized from the Egyptian consulate.
  4. The name, address, nationality, and profession or nature of the business of the licensee.
